Two years ago Punjab Kings bought Shashank by mistake in the IPL auction. They meant to buy a different player with the same name. That mistake changed Shashank’s life. Since then he worked hard and proved his value in the team.
In the IPL 2025 final against RCB Shashank played a brilliant innings. He scored 61 runs from just 30 balls. He fought alone when other players got out. He gave Punjab Kings hope until the very end. But the team lost by six runs.
After the match Shashank left the field wiping tears from his eyes. Most people did not notice him. All eyes were on Kohli. This was Kohli’s day and everyone was happy for him.
But Shashank’s story also matters. He was once unwanted. Now he is a key player. His journey is like a fairytale. He showed courage and hard work.
