Big Blow For RCB: Virat Kohli Faces Legal Trouble Ahead of Final against PBKS

The pub in Raja Yoga, Bengaluru, where the working class hangs out, is being investigated by the government in relation to the IPL 2025 Final.

Cubbon Park Police in Bengaluru began a case against One8 Commune, belonging to Kohli, for breaking the Cigarettes and Other Tobacco Products Act (COTPA). There is no allocated place for smoking which is against public health guidelines, the allegations say.

It is yet another off-field event for Kohli in recent times. He faced a 50% match fee penalty at an earlier stage for arguing with the umpires during a game with the Kolkata Knight Riders. There was another security incident when someone came onto the pitch to greet Kohli in the middle of the game.

Kohli has still played extremely well for India, making 614 runs and eight half-centuries in this edition of the season. According to Patidar, RCB are determined to win the title, saying, "This is for Virat Kohli, who has dedicated 18 years to the team."

The main attention is on the playing field as RCB and PBKS try to win the IPL for the first time. While Kohli excels in cricket, facing legal issues shows that athletes have more problems outside the game.
