ICC announces Dates and Venues for Women’s Cricket World Cup 2025

  Today, ICC officially gave the dates and locations of the coming ICC Women’s Cricket World Cup 2025. ICC released this official statement today on their website and social media.



The ICC Women’s Cricket World Cup is held for 50-over Women’s cricket. India and Sri Lanka are coming together to host the 2021 T20 World Cup.


It has now been declared by the ICC that the Women’s Cricket World Cup 2025 tournament is set to happen from 30 September, 2025 until 2 November, 2025.

There will be 31 matches played by 8 teams at 5 different Indian and Sri Lankan venues. M. Bengaluru, Guwahati, Indore and Visakhapatnam will be hosting matches at Chinnaswamy Stadium, ACA Stadium Guwahati, Holkar Stadium and ACA-VDCA Stadium. Only the R. Premadasa Stadium in Colombo in Sri Lanka will host matches.


Today, the ICC reveals that the Women’s World Cup semi-finals and last game will be played on October 29 and October 30, respectively, with the last match moving ahead on Sunday, November 2.

If Pakistan is in the semis, the semi-final 1 match will be either at Guwahati or in Colombo. Should Pakistan qualify, the first semi-final will be held in Colombo, else it will be arranged in Guwahati. Meanwhile, the semi-final 2 will happen in Bengaluru on 30 October.The final game of the ICC Womens Cricket World Cup 2025 will be played either in Bengaluru or Colombo on November 2 and this will depend on if Pakistan manages to qualify. The match will be in Colombo if Pakistan makes it and in Bengaluru’s M. Chinnaswamy Stadium if it does not.


India, Sri Lanka, Australia, New Zealand, England, Pakistan, Bangladesh and South Africa are the 8 teams who made it to the  tournament.


At first, the 8 teams will compete against each other in round-robin style. When all games in the league format are done, the top 4 teams will head straight to the semi-finals and the final match.
