Mumbai Indians Crash Out of IPL 2025- Hardik Pandya Fined for Slow Over Rate

Nita Ambani’s Mumbai Indians were not able to play in the IPL 2025 final after being defeated by five wickets by Punjab Kings at the Narendra Modi Stadium in Ahmedabad on Sunday. The loss resulted in their campaign being over and they missed the chance at winning another title.

On top of this, the Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) fined MI’s Hardik Pandya ₹30 lakh for making the game drag. Because of the offence, Mumbai Indians received stricter rules set out by the IPL Code of Conduct.

Under BCCI rules, successive violations will be handled by all teams together. Because of this, the rest of the MI players were all fined the lower of ₹12 lakh or 50% of their match fees.

The IPL confirmed the finding in an official statement: As this was Mumbai Indians’ third offense for over-rate infringements, captain Hardik Pandya got fined ₹30 lakh and will miss a game if the team violates again. All the other players were each given a fine of ₹12 lakh or 50% of their match fees.

Even though they had a top squad and were highly regarded, Mumbai Indians’ season came to an abrupt end because of unsure performances and disciplinary matters. Now, there are questions about the team’s leadership and strategies for the future and fans and experts are urging them to think deeply before the next season starts.

Punjab Kings kept their impressive late-season momentum by advancing into the final.

The action may be finished, but Mumbai Indians continue to garner attention as a team connected to success and now they must evaluate their seas

on full of ups and downs.
